Written off car
Hi my car was written off on saturday, im wondering does any one know scrap values, or how i can sell it for parts, if any has any ideas or any advice, please say!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If its fully comp then the ins company will pay you out and take it away , if you are not and its yours to dispose of try selling it to a specialist Volvo breakers who will strip it and recycle the parts , if this is not an option to you locally , you will get anything from �100 to �170 a ton depending where you are as scrap metal prices are stupid at the moment ....

i'm assuming you're not very mechanically inclined so i think the best thing to do with it is to take what the insurance company offers you. if i'm wrong, and i apologize ;), you may have to either refuse payment from the ins co or buy it back from them before you part it out. i'd ask your agent what options are available to you where you live. ebay and local auto trader papers are a good place sell parts. good luck ;)
