I brokedown in my golf a few days ago and someone told me it was the COIL so i forked out for a new one, it still didnt start! Then someone told me it was DISTRIBUTOR CAP and the ROTARY ARM so i bought new ones of them, still doesnt start. Now ive been told its the ECU and i havent got a clue about them, how they work? where they are? So would anyone be able to point me in the right direction please!

You need to stop asking "someone" it's costing you money for nothing.

Follow Zac's advice.

Cheers m8 but i did actually call out breakdown truck 3 times thats whos told me whats up with it and each one has told me something different. But the real problem is that i dont know wereabouts on car this ECU is.

Thanx 2 both of you anyway.
Even if you find out where the ECU is you won't be able to do anything to it.

C'mon Norman.
you need to find the dl-16 pin adaptor to plug the diganostic machine in. some of them are under the dash t the drivers footwell and some of them are under the plastic cover beneath the handbrake lever.
