what has the best fuel consumptin a mini, nissan micra or smart car . im starting a new business and will be doing a 60 mile round trip each day and need a good car.

60 miles on the motorway or B Roads ?.

Lots of little cars out there giving good MPG.

My advice get a 1.1 or 1.2.

My daughter has a Kia Picanto it's great, but the Smarts do have a good MPG also.

Citroen C1 diesel will return 70 mpg esp on motorways and fast A roads.
MPG is also as much to do with your driving style as the car / size of engine.
Top Gear did a test of 10 laps around their track with a Toyota Prius Vs. a BMW M3. The M3 beat the Prius on MPG.

look it doesnt matter about the fuel consumption put it this way i had a vauxhall corsa sxi 1.2 that had the same consumption as my later car a 2.0 alfa romeo156 in a smaller engined car u tend to put ur foot down which uses alot but in the later u dont tend to do that the lower engine the more it will cost u long term .
