Ford KA, Tight steering and brakes

Ok. brakes and steering cut out recently due to an air flow meter problem, had that fixed but my steering still feels tighter than it used too and the brakes seem the same, higher up and just a bit harder to push down...any ideas what this could be, the garage didnt pick anything up but i'm sure it just doent feel right...
