Toad Car Alarm

I have a Toad A 101 CL car alarm. Usually when you lock it and activate the alarm it beeps once and the indicators flash once. The same but twice for unlocking. However, recently it's been flashing 3 times to lock and 2 times to unlock. Also, as the boot locks separatley, if the alarm is armed and the boot opened the alarm doen't sound where as it did before. Does anybody know why this is and how it can be put right?
