ive just passed my drivin test (yay) and i was wounderin do u have 2 put P plates on ur car if so how long 4? x

No it's purely voluntary, if you want other drivers to be aware that you have just passed and therefore give you more tolerance and consideration then P plates help.

And also, I don't think you're allowed to use them for more than a year after passing your test.

There are no laws at present regaurding the use of P plates. I would advise you to use them as you biuld up confidence, take them off maybe after a few months.
