I am 23 with a provisional license. I have a 600cc motorbike. I know how to ride but obviously cannot go on the roads until I pass my full motorcycle test. My motorcycle is without MOT/Tax/Insurance. Are there any roads I CAN practice on? (The aim of me practicing is to continue practising what I'm being taught on my lessons.) I obviously don't want to break the law so I was wondering if theres any loopholes/permitted areas I can practice such as private roads or dirt tracks? Thankyou for any information :)

Very unlikely you will find anywhere, even if you did you would need a trailer to carry your bike on to get to them.

I have the trailer etc it's just the legality of any available roads :/
Around where I live are some abandoned WW2 airfields. I learned to drive on them. Are there any near you? You'd probably have to get clearance from the local farmer these days.
You'd be OK on farm tracks which are not public highways but I doubt you'd get a farmer willing to give you permission on health and safety grounds.

What about dirt circuits? Like the ones used for motorcross etc... I'm not saying I want to do the track but there's usually a central island thats just flat... Obviously kids race on those too so I'm guessing that takes care of the license part... just wondering if it also gets rid of the tax, test and insurance part...
I've noticed several learner drivers using trading/industrial estate roads which out of trading hours are usually quite deserted
Just buy a house with a HUGE garden and ride your bike round the grounds. Good answer, eh?
I thought you could ride a motorbike with a provisional licence on any road. I know someone who rode a bike on a provisional for years and never took his test, maybe the law has changed. If so how soes anyone learn to ride???
But are still public highways mojay, therefore illegal
Could you just get your bike MOT'd/taxed and insured?
tax, insurance and MOT are the issues here Prudie, or lack of

Not to mention it's a 600cc not a learner's 125cc :P

That's why Tax/Test/Insure won't cut it ^
Why don't you concentrate on learning, practising, and revising your skills on your learner bike rather than distract yourself with the 600cc bike. Surely, getting your test done and dusted should take priority then you'll be able to ride the bigger bike with no problems.
So you're not really practising for a test you just want to ride an illegal bike somewhere?
