Cycling On The Pavement, What's Your Excuse?
One of my bug bears I suppose but I'm old school, trained to cycle on the road properly and obey road rules etc. Anyway the other day I was walking home and some numpty on a bike got right up behind and rang his bell. I did not move at all and after a bit more ringing I turned around and pointed out the road about 2 feet to his left and said "get on the road, why are you on the pavement?" - Here's the good bit, he said and I kid ye not, it was less dangerous to pedestrians if he cycles on the pavement that it is to cyclists to cycle on the road - I've only just stopped ranting! How has it got to the stage now where most cyclists think that cycling on the pavement is ok? Dropping the kerbs at the corners hasn't helped here either.

I can't be arse to read all this (probable numpty crap) But in my opinion, angry pedestrians make for angry drivers too.
No doubt you were a cyclist once Danger UXzz but most probably in your day there was a man walking in front of the cars with a red flag.
Why people would rather see kids cycling on the road rather than in the comparative safety of the pavement is beyond me.

but madmen, from my own experiences it is the majority who break the law, certainly in regards to cycling over the red lights, those who say it's too dangerous on the roads shouldn't be cycling.. I only had one near miss in many years of happy cycling, and that was a del boy type in a reliant robin who decided to cut across my path, had he clipped me i wouldn't be here now
You will generally find that any cyclist (like myself) who uses a helmet camera invariably rides to the letter of the Highway Code.
That was the reason behind my video clip being 2 minutes long, to show that I am the type who cycles correctly and does not RLJ (Red Light Jumper) at traffic lights. I would defy almost anyone on here who claims to drive to the Highway Code and letter of the law. I certainly don't, I cut corners and exceed the speed limit on occasion.
The main differences are that when cyclists hit cars/people the damage to either is generally minimal. When cars hit cyclists, the results are often fatal. YouTube is awash with incidents of drivers abusing cyclists but hardly any where the situation is reversed.
There are horror stories from both sides. The main reason I got the camera was because I had 2 incidents in a fortnight whereby the passengers of vehicles decided to shout something as they drew level with and passed me, for nothing other than 'fun'. The second was caught and spoken to by Police. He conveniently forgot who his passenger was on the day in question but was served a notice that should a similar incident arise his car would be seized.
Why do so many drivers and pedestrians on here feel the need to threaten or offer violence? As another poster has said, such aggression is doubtless borne out on the road. Yes, I too detest cyclists who ride with a total disregard for others, pedestrians or otherwise and if I see poor cycling I'll have a word if possible but I also dislike jaywalking pedestrians and drivers who use the road with their thumb up their a*se and their mind in neutral.
