Just to let you know that I have now fitted the above.
Fitting didn't go well!!
MGB engine is fitted in my kit car, with little space under the bonnet. Should really have taken the distributor off, but being an optomist I thought I would give it a go in situ.
Used a magnetic screw driver to remove the points screw but it was too long to use for the condensor screw, which I also couldn't actually see. Put paper under the car just in case. Screw now lost for ever.
Anyway, I persevered and fitted the kit using only the points screw. Over tightened it and I think I have stripped the thread. Not removed it because I know it will never go back in.
Still, after all that, car fired up first turn. Unbelievable.
Have ordered new screws. I am using the car and so far so good. As you may have gathered, I live abroad so I am interested to see how the unit works in high temperatures. 32C at present
Thanks for all your advice

Good luck I take it you have a Kenlow fan or something similar - I wouldn't want to trust the standard belt driven MGB fan in Greece ! All sorts of parts for Distributers available here: http://www.distributordoctor.com/
