Have just come across an old photograph of the family taken in a 1928 Morris oxford flat nosed 2 door coupe`.
Any idea how I might trace who owned it then. Thanks

Thanks for the answers .I think the DVLA sounds the best option as I don`t have any info except Registration no. WL 4058
You can find out if it still exists as you know the reg no at

Oxymoron, if you Google Old Morris Oxford Clubs UK, ( I have not done this myself But) you should be directed to a known site that may help you, what is the Reg of the car to start, that will give some sort of Clue.
Morris Oxford Owners Club on Car And Classic UK

As asked, insert your Reg, this will give us a start to where the car was registered.

Have tried the Morris Oxford owners club on car and classic uk,but couldnt see how to put the Reg no. In which is WL 4058.
This was just a long shot to find out who owned it as I found the photo in a family album but alas no family member is around to tell me who it belonged to. I have tried the DVLA and am waiting for reply.
Thanks for suggestions.
WL Oxford This is the area where the car was Reg Oxy, If you are in that Area, check your local Library for past Dealers that was in that area, also, Cowley on the Oxford Ring Road, they used to assemble the cars there, If I find any futher info, I will get back to you.
Oxy, Just off the ( M1) A426>>A4304, there was a garage in a village called "Husbands Bosworth" this garage use to sell old cars, the likes of the Morris Oxford>>Austin 7s & the likes, if the garage is still there & I'm sure if someone on here knows & lives in that area they will put you right on the name of that garage that may help you, your plight intriges me as I like a challenge, if there's any more info you can give Eg/ past Tax disks / Cars documentation / ID Plate, anything that has been left inside the car that can give clues.

Thanks TWR. for the added info. Thought you would like to know I have been in touch with DVLA and filled in forms with the info I have bearing in mind it is only an old photo I have of the family in this car.For a fee of £2.50 I am hopeful they will tell me who owned it and anything else relevant. May take a couple of weeks before I know so watch this space for an update.
Hi, challenges like this I like, I'll keep checking & good luck.
