There have been many reports of the Mobility " Stiring moss drivers" Scooter drivers running into pedestrians, whats your opinion regards the persons that use them? should they have to take some type of test?

Indeed they should!

Postdog, you obviously have strong opinions on the subject, possibly use one yourself? it would be interesting to hear your viewpoint and have the chance to discuss it, as is surely the nature of this site.

Isn't it surprising, you ask people's opinion & get the Crap responses from a few, Postdog, If you opened your eye's, read the papers about SOME on the scooters causing a few people to either crack their Ankle, their foot by the way the drive the things, the Machine is POWERED, & the user can control the power by his / her Hand, a lot think that they have the right of way on pavements! " They DO NOT" a bit of common & a bit of sense by the opperator goes a long way, I'm not saying all are arrogant, but there are many & I think, they should be tested.
How do you think they can be tested?
To test a person to see if they are fit to use a scooter is to put the person with scooter in the enviroment they are going to be in. How many people will volenteer to be 'guinea pigs? Cyclists, motor bikes, cars are tested on roads. These scooters can't be tested among people pets, pushchairs, skateboards, pavement cyclists, zimmer frames walking sticks kids on electric scooters (toys) ect.... I am sure if there was a test scooter users would choose to take it. I would no joke.

Have you heard of a "Mock up" Jem? thats the way it could be sorted.
I can'tbe bothered. I use on myself and people who remember me will know why. Since I have had to my tolerance level for people with invisible illnesses and disabilities has shot up. I suggest you raise yours too.
A basic test should be introduced, perhaps in a mock up situation as previously mentioned. The insurance for mine costs me £79 a year, hardly a crippling costs and covers everything including a get you home service. Every scooter registered gets a reg number which Imo should be displayed. Identifying people should then be easier. A quick note .... It is illegal for a person without disabilities to use a mobility scooter on pavements although I realise this would be hard to police or prove.
