Our car tax expires the end of Aug how soon can I apply on-line to renew it.

You normally get a reminder which has a reference number on it, so I suggest you wait. You used to be able to apply 14 days before it was due, so your reminder should come any day now.

I got my reminder yesterday.....and the MOT ....and the insurance..... August is a terrible month for me.
