In wales the last week.  Seen a Alvis car  really old but in immaculate cond  QUESTION why does it only have one door and why is it on the left opp to steering wheel

If you could only have one door, that's where it would be, so people could get in after the driver.  No idea why for that car, never heard of one.

Could also be that, at the time, almost all drivers were men, who could shift themselves across the car more easily in trousers than would be possible for female passengers in full skirts
