Mrs Sqad had a TVR ! ?

Tell Mrs Sqad that mikey is very impressed indeed !
great for power speed etc but never screwed together very well. Maybe the Taffs can improve on that.
That'll be fun.

I saw one of the old ones on the road yesterday, they are lovely looking.
Didn't know they had stopped making them.
mikey....Mrs sqad...smiled.

The guy who founded the company lived opposite us in Menorca....we knew him as TREVOR....presumably the origin of the company name.
He died 4 or 5 years ago, but sold the company to some Russians ..I think.

You can tell a TVR is coming long before you see it...the noise it makes is stupendous !

Lots of info here...started in 1947 :::::

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVR
I was parked behind one on double yellow lines in Swindon, waiting for my daughter to come out of a shop with a sideboard to load into my trailer. A traffic warden came along and I explained why I was waiting, so he just asked me to be as quick as possible. He then pointed to the TVR in front and said "The registration plate belongs to a Ford Transit. Someone's going to be disappointed" and then wandered off.
I recall a major distributor of TVRs in South Mimms/Potters Bar area.I think it was called John Britten. I am talking around 50 years ago. I always turned to John Britten's adverts in Auto Sport first. It was hilarious how he described his latest stock for sale. Glad they are back again.
Smolensky destroyed the production of TVRs up here.
Although the protest drives along the Prom by TVR owners was a sight to behold....

Good news for job in Wales, especially as it is looking increasingly likely that
