Peugeot 207 Power Steering
Hi. I know I'm being a bit stupid here but where is the power steering fluid reservoir on a Peugeot 207 S (59 Plate) ? Can't locate it. Looked at a YouTube clip and it showed it on the LH side located fairly low down almost under the expansion tank. It's not there on my vehicle. On the upper RH side there's only the brake fluid reservoir. Any help appreciated

Paddy the Peugeot 207as indeed got an electric power steering rack. ie no reservoir. They are however prone to failure. It is very common on all models, the steering can start off intermittent but if left will always lead to total failure causing the steering to become very heavy in both directions, the steering can also be heavy one way and self steer causing the vehicle to pull to one side when driving down the road.

If you are having steering problems Paddy, first make sure the tyre pressures are correct. That steering rack has a torque sensor and will play up if you have bad tyre pressure. You might also want to check if a fuse has blown, I think the fuse that you are looking for is located in the engine bay and a 10 amp jobby. "She who must be obeyed" has a 207.
Hi Togo. There is a slight problem with my 207's power steering. When you set off for the first yard or two there is virtually no power steering (very heavy) then it kicks in. Not sure what the fault is - but I read this car can develop a fault where the power steering doesn't work below about 1000 revs (not sure what causes this tho'). Just hope it isn't expensive to fix or I will just have to live with it - just worried that this is the start of a more serios problem with the power steering
Update on Peugeot 207 electric power steering not working at low revs. I have found that if you rev the engine a few times to around 2500 revs before attempting to move - then the power steering kicks in straightaway - so it looks like Togo's analysis was correct. It doesn't like very low revs - maybe it will need a new electric steering pump ?
hello there Togo, My 207 have the steering alarm on and steering is very heavy now, before i had the same with Paddy. On my research i found about what you say for battery so i boost my battery with cables from another car but nothing change. any suggestions how to proceed ? is there a chance for a blown fuse or something ?
