How may miles does a SEAT IBIZA 1.4 (1999) need to have done before the cam belt needs changing?

Hi,  Don't know for that vehicle exactly but a generic figure would be not exceeding 100,000 Km for most cam belts.

I think age as well as mileage has to be considered. Not many cars go to 100,000 miles on a cambelt. I would suggest no more than 60.000.
Hi derekpara,  well I did say Km not miles and 100,000Km is approx 60,000 Miles
Ooops !  Sorry qapmoc mate, need new specs !. But at least we seem to be in agreement. And what I meant about age as well as mileage is a vehicle (taxi) that does a lot of ticking over whilst stationary will need a cambelt change earlier than the recommended mileage for that vehicle.
