Vw Diesel Upgrade Problems

After almost 2 years I have a letter asking me to book my Skoda 1.6 in for the upgrade, only now in the past week I hear there are subsequent problems with the EGR system and even cars breaking down. Phoned Skoda to be told it's voluntary and it's up to me. Anyone like to give me their views?

I'd advise you to watch last week's Watchdog on iPlayer (the one from the 12th July)....they did a long item on the VAG "upgrade"....lots of problems AFTER the work. The advice was...if you've not had it done, you're lucky....don't do it!
