Hi all, have any of you got a freelander with the plastic type removable rear roof? as I'm trying to fit a rear dashcam. Those of you that may have one will know you can't fit it to the window as this disappears into the door when opened. I've tried using sticky pads but they won't stick to the plastic roof, I'm also fairly sure the roof is double skinned so I thought about carefully drilling through first layer and using small self tappers. I'm hoping some of you folk may come up with a bright idea how I can fit it. Thanks for any input for this problem

So, let me get this right, you're trying to fit it to the outside of the vehicle?

no zacs master i'm trying to fit it on the inside, looking out of the rear window, but cannot find anywhere to mount it. i'm thinking tomorrow i'll try to hot glue it to the inside of the roof as i can't think of another way
Hi Paul, does the tailgate window disappear completely, I thought it went down about 75%. Long time since I've seen one.

Yes sapelesam it goes all the way into the door, and also I bought the car off a friend who had trouble with window so him and me replaced whole door, so now a couple of times a week I drop the window all the way so the electrics do a full cycle if you know what it mean.
Paul, is the internal door panel wide enough at it's top to fit a camera there, glue gun or the like. I know it's probably curved, but maybe a piece of balsa wood could be cut to fit, then camera goes on flat top bit. Wish I could show a drawing. Balsa available at model shops.
