Parking Sign
5 Answers
A rectangular parking sign. The bottom half has a white background and a Large P with the information that one has to pay at the machine and display the ticket Mon - Sat between 10 am and 4 pm. That is clear. The bit above gives the No loading days and times. That is clear. The top part of the sign has a yellow background with, in the top left corner, a blue circle with a white rim and white diagonal line. The lettering states, “Mon - Sat” and under that “7 am - 10 am” and under that “4 pm - 7 pm”. I’ve searched the Highway Code and Government sites re parking signs but cannot find any reference to such a blue circle with a white diagonal line. Can anyone please put me out of my misery and tell me what it means?

http:// penalty chargen otice.c o.uk/tr affic-s igns-li nes/ (the one at the top of the page). In that case, it should definately have red rim and bar. Probably a mistake during manufacture...it does happen! Once I was on a job putting traffic lights up round a big roundabout and it needed about 14 traffic light ahead signs (picture of traffic lights in a red triangle). Took me a couple of hours to work out what was wrong...the lights were upside down with green at the top!
