ok I have recently renewed my bike insurance, I have valid certificates etc but no matter how many times I ring the AA they seem incapable of adding me to the MIDB. Does anyone know if Plod uses the same DB for ANPR or have a different DB? I'm just wondering if the data used for ASKMID http://www.askmid.com/ is just a public copy or something. Basically will ANPR always show the same results as ASKMID? Yes I've been doing this for weeks now and the AA are useless.

Try googling your numberplate rather than checking AskMid for evidence of you being on the MIDB.
