that's actually likely to be the first place you'll find them, since as "special roads" the legislation already exists for motorways to be further limited (in the future) to vehicles which are equipped for autonomous operation.

Yes, I take it this post is then about about driver-less cars with petrol engines. I'm referring above to electric driven cars, sorry.

It's only driverless without human ability to take over after all testing is done and proven as safe as human drivers. One can not legitimately complain that all's not already perfect during development.
