Navigation On Mercedes C Class
14 Answers
No problems until recently, Sat Nav tells me to go completely the wrong way to a destination, literally when I am in the correct destination it tells me to do a U turn. Mercedes want £200 just to look at it without repair price. Is this a common problem, would a normal garage be able to repair or configure this??

I seem to remember when I looked at Mercedes they said the new maps/software could be downloaded from the internet and loaded into the car via a memory card. If your Merc is reasonably young it could be that such upgrades are free, as they are with many newer vehicles. It's worth looking into as a software upgrade/refresh might cure your problem.
As another thought, my Volvo has a blind spot to a particular journey; asking it to plot a route from Paris to the Loire Valley it wanted to take me to the north coast of France, then along a bit and finally down. I had to insert Chartres as a waypoint to get it to choose a sensible route. If you are just having trouble with one particular trip try altering it a bit.

Not had to do it on a Merc but similar for most manufacturers.
