205 55 r16 tyres

hi there


ive got a question that might sound silly but i need to know asap here goes. ive just bought 4 tyres that are 215 55 r16 in size but my current size is 205 55 r16 will it be a problem fitting these tyres. i have a 2003 mondeo. also my dad would like to fit me old tyre to his car his size is 215 55 r16 so will 205 55 r16 fit on his old rims

Well the first number relates to the width in millimetres, so 205 won't fit 215's, or vice versa sorry.
the tyres will fit ok - the 215s will be sightly 'fatter' but they will fit ok on your rims and your old 205s will fit ok on dads.

thanx 4 the replys but im still no closer to the answer 1 person says yes and 1 says no hellllllllllllllllpppppppppppppp lol
the tyres WILL fit. The 215 and 205 are the measurements around the tyre from rim to rim (Imagine a cross section of the tyre) The difference of 10mm will be no problem whatsoever lol

ok thanx but any isdea were to get them fitted. will any tyre shop or fitter fit them ever thou i didnt buy them their shop
any tyre fitter will do them for you
