can anyone tell me if the Navman 320 is a good buy ? It's for my daughter for a christmas present.

I dont know much about that particular model, but a report I watched on TV last week of a few of these things found that the one to have at the moment is the new Tom Tom 'GO 300' which is about �270.

Go for a tomtom 300. Best on the market for the price.
I have told others that if you order on line at Currys apart from the sale price when you get to checkout , in the "promotion box" type in currys20 and you should get another �20 off plus free courier delivery.

After 6 months using a TOM TOM GO 300 I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Dilligaf's advice re Curry's is spot on.

Dear All, thanks for your answers, but the Tomtom cost's more than we really wanted to spend, that's why we thought of choosing the Navman. Daughter doesn't go far, but she's a bit dippy in a new driver sort of way, so anything to set our minds at rest would be helpful!! Then all we have to worry about is her getting the car broken in to, to have the GPS stolen!! Ahhh, the joys of kids!!

Hi, may I recommend you to buy the Acer N35. With this product you do not only get a GPS system, you will also get a good realiable pda. PDA is basically a handheld computer, all or most of the programs you will have on a PC. The acer N35 uses a GPS program called the destinator, which i think is better than the Tom tom system, however, if you wish to use Tom tom rather than destinator, you can install tom tom onto the acer n35 use that rather than destinator.
