I have tested fuses and bulbs yet i cant get the tail lights to work?

Have you checked the earth for the light units. They often get corroded.

Many thanks I have tried that and it seems ok the fog lights & indicators work fine as well, so i guess its somthing else. The instrument panel lights have also gone!

hi mate i had a similar problem with my escort , my hubby read this website on car problems and there was some good answers on it , he said try taking the switch apart where u turn the lights on cos it will be the contacts in the switch it might be a bit tricky but he done it and it havent gone since

Many thanks for all the advice, two minutes of cleaning the contacts and it now works fine!!!! you have saved me alot of time and money.So thanks again, especially Hiedi-honey.
