Rear Windscreen Wiper

My rear windscreen wiper has stopped working (the washer still works) - any idea what it is, and more importantly, how much it'll cost to get working? Thanks x

hi,have you checked the fuse? also could be the cables that go to the rear wiper thru the rear hatch.i.e when you open the hatch you can see the cables going from the top of the hatch back into the roof area.With the hatch being opened and closed sometimes these cables break,they can be rejoined either by soldering or using electrical crimps.

As already said fuse sounds a likely possibility! Did it stop working suddenly or slowly over a period of time? Check fuse first, then connections to the motor. Less likely is a problem with the contacts in the switch but might be worth a check also.

The other things to check are the contacts/switches that are located on the lower edge of the tailgate and the top edge of the bumper area. Contacts are copper coloured and the switches are plunger type.

Thanks for all your answers, once I eventually find my manual and find out where they are, I'll check the fuse, and take it from there!
