i recently went to fill up my tank with diesel and i wanted to put 20 in (company weekly allowance) and when i reached 17 the handle started clicking everytime i pulled the trigger so i gave up and left it at 17.02. I later mentioned this to my friend and she said that the handle was clicking because the tank was full, i later checked and the tank showed full. my question is, how did the pump know that my tank was full?
There is a small tube running parallel to the main hose, when one end is underthe fuel, Ie the tank is full then the pressure changes and the pump clicks off.
