I Have 1998 Ford Focus 1.6 ghia. The left brake light seems to have stopped working. It works on a twin filament stop and tail, the tail is working fine. I have changed the bulb and checked the fuses. Does anyone have any ideas?

try the brake light switch!

if one bulb works and the other not, then it is not the brake light switch. is one tail lamp brighter than the other? i see plenty of cars like that. the bulb may be in the wrong way round.
