on my ford puma, the drivers side the interia light does not come on when the door is opened this also affects the audio alarm which tells you that the lights are still on i have checked the obvious eg the door switch the circuit is ok because the light comes on when the passenger door is opened, also i have not blown a fuse. above the pedals is a fuse box with relays it could possibly be one of those but i am not. pick your brains please

When you say you have checked the circuit have you checked that the driver's side switch earthing ?

They depend on having a good earth so if there's some slight corrosion where the switch is attached to the bodywork this could be the problem.

I doubt there is a relay in this circuit as it's so low power.
