I have had a VW Touran for two years and it is absolutely brilliant, but the drivers seat has to be pumped up by hand every other day or so. This is no real problem as you use the seat heightener to do it. VW are saying I am not alone and they are working on it - but two years ! Is anybody else having this problem ?

vw have done studies which they say has found that ppl are catching their leg on the seat height adjuster lever, and it is falling slightly every time they get into the car. the seat eventually gets to a point where the driver will notice it has fallen. Try consciously getting in avoiding the lever, and see if that makes a difference. The difference between this and say a Golf is that you get up and into a Touran rather than fall into a Golf.

Williaid thanks for reply, I agree with your thinking but I conciously made sureI did not go near it for a week and it still went down. That does not mean I was perfect in doing this, regardless of human interference some design alteration should be done to it. As I said before the Touran is a great vehicle. cheers Hard@it
