I have a problem with my Fiat that it start sometimes and then is ok.

I have been told by my local garage that I have a key code chip problem with the ECU/immobilser.

If this is the problem should the key code light stay on or flash when it happens.

It just comes on and goes out the same as when it starts.

Help!!!!

There should be a section in your user manual that explains about the key code light. I know that when it stays lit for a long time it means its doing a check on some of the ECU systems. I would advise taking it to a Fiat dealer, becuase if it is a code problem then you'll probable have to take it there as well. I just hope you have your "red key" as key code problems get worse without one.
