How easy and costly is it to replace car seats?

I have a ten-year old Polo, with annoying "sports seats" that you can't see under if you drop anything, and they're also not very comfortable any more, particularly because they get very hot in the summer, being very dark grey.

have u tried a scrap yard or ebay for any polos which are breaking for spares

I've changed car seats before and it's always been very easy. The front seats come out attached to the runners, so if you slide the seats back you should see the fixing screws near the front, then slide the seats forwards and remove the rear screws. That should do it.

The rears are simply bolted to the side panels and the floor pan. No more that half an hour to remove the lot. Good luck.

Forgot to say that I meant hexi bolts not screws, so will need to buy or borrow a set of hexi spanners. Car breakers are your best bet but you may have to remove the seats from the donor car - good practice, though.
