pug 406

bought a pug 406 2.1 dt, it had a new clutch in before i bought it, the car wont move in any gear although every gear can be selected,could this be the gear box,thanks for some answers some good lads who know what they r talking about on here.

did the car ever drive b4 and wen u bought the car?did the drive just go?i suggest u take it back to the garage who fitted the clutch,it could a simple case (although i doubt) of the selector cables arent clipped on properly.is the gearstick as normal or waving about?

The clutch unless worn out, jammed or has broken springs, disconnects the drive so if in any gear there should be drive to the wheels. The only things that can stop this is if the gear selector is not working or there is a broken shaft some where or a CV has failed. Perhaps you can take it back to where you bought it to sort out.

i bought the car for �250 knowing what it wasnt doing,i just needed advice as to what you lads thought it might be thanks for the replys very much appreciated,got a clutch just hoping its not gear box cant find 1 anywhere

the gear stick is normal,the car drove after it was fitted but then just stopped ie driving it as been stuck on drive for about 4 months garage said its over 12 months old,so its r lasses sister who couldnt be botherd

yes the car is manual the engine is free i have started car up and put it in all gears without using clutch,
