Hi. I've just bought an alfa romeo 147 1.6 lusso and just wondered if anyone could recommend an engine oil to use?

I would think fully synthetic presuming it has been run on this from new. Check out www.millersoils.com they do excellent lubricants.

refer to the handbook, or ask someone on an Alfa owners forum. Nice car by the way. Probably the best car I have ever driven. Good and solid!
