fiesta petrol tank

I have a ford fiesta that has always been awkward to fill with petrol but in the last few weeks its been a nightmare... It cuts out every few seconds as if it senses that the tank is full even when I know it is empty! Can anyone help me please, as it's driving me mad! Thanks

It is probably airlocked. Try not putting the nozzle in the full way, and filling the car before it gets completely empty.

This happens my car too and I found these were the easiest ways round the problem

try angling the nozzle slightly , had to do that on my transit.
