bonnet for vauxhall corsa

my cable is briken on my corsa. how do i open the bonnet?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Ok you need to get on your back and lay dircetly under the front of the bonnet so you can get your hand upto the catch.
Then either with your hand or even a pair of pliers try to pull the bracket which the cable is or was fixed to.
If the cable is fixed at the bonnet end stiil try pulling that, if your still cant do im sure if you pop round to a garage with decent panel/body ie vauxhall "ford may charge you" people then they will open it within a few mins

Solved it!
one needs a very long screwdriver and a hammer. You have to prise open (sorry, hack off) the daft antitheft device, which is plastic and then, once it has dropped you can shaply tap the locking spring with the handy long screwdriver and hammer combo.
On the 02 model I've got you have to tap the spring through the front grille; however older (& newer) models can be accessed from underneath.
