Parking ticket removed from windscreen
As far as I understand a parking fine doubles if you don't pay it within a certain period of time, is this correct?
What I want to know is what happens when a stranger removes the ticket for a laugh unknown to you. Will you have to pay the greater fine?
A friend of mine parked his car on a quiet country road in the middle of nowhere, half on the verge. When I arrived later on I noticed that his and 4 or 5 other cars had tickets on them. When we were leaving the next day, no car (including his) had a ticket on it. Maybe the police changed their mind (yeah right), or someone else has removed it.

If the ticket has been removed eventually a letter will come from the court saying you have not paid your fine, if you then inform the court that the ticket must have been removed as you had not received it then they will issue another which must be paid straight away.
