Speeding fine in the US

I got a speeding ticket in the US about two years ago which I never paid. I didn't hear anything on my return to the UK, so would it now be safe for me to go back to the US or would I be hauled off to jail as a fugitive from justice? :o(

I believe you would probably 'get away' with it.

Problem is if you intend to visit the same state that the ticket was issued in, and get pulled over for a check or other offence. That would pretty much guarantee a pair of handcuffs.
