i got a escort 1.6 finesse when i drive it it squeak it is the brake but it aint when i do brake if you see what i mean it stops when i press the brake can anyone tell me why that is

youve lost me somewhere in the plot, lol
does it squeak when you drive along the road, or only squeak when you drive over pot hole's and /or put your brake's on,
i had a similar problem years a go on a mk 5 cortina, turned out it was one of the rubber bushes on the front suspension

If it squeak it it when brake it it but not stop it it when press it brake to stop it it then surely it squeak it it when you don't it stop it it to drive it ?

Put a small amount of copaslip on the backs of the front disc pads - be careful not to get any on the braking surfaces eg pads or discs. If that doesn't cure it then you may have to look at the rear drums.
