Kangaroo Petrol

My Y reg Renault Clio feels like it has kangaroo petrol in it! It's only happened recently (the petrol tank was quite low, but not empty enough for the light to come on), & its when I'm going from 1st to 2nd gear. It takes unleaded which I get from Tesco's or Sainsburys. Any ideas?

Could be that the petrol you bought may be contaminated, see what happens when you fill up again.
Just recently in the press someone filled up their new( I think BMW ) from a supermarket only to find out it was water.

Could also be that as you were so low on petrol "sludge" may have been drawn up from the bottom of your tank.

At this point I would keep going if its not too bad and fill up asap.
