Airbag Warning Light Vauxhall Corsa
I drive a Corsa Comfort 1.2. On a 51 (2002) Plate. The Airbag warning light has come on and is now permanently lit. My main dealer quoted me 80 quid just to give it a diagnostic which is IMHO disgraceful. Any ideas what is causing the light to stay on. Are the bags likely to just go off or anything drastic. My Handbook says the light means the bags "may not go off" in the event of an accident, which is a bit vague.
In short, is it worth the eighty quid , or is it better to be safe than sorry??

Your car is out of Warranty , there is no reason not to go to an independent garage - unless you extended the warranty - which will be far cheaper. If you do not already have a 'trusted' garage to go to, your local county council might have a fair trade scheme of recommended garages (recommended by members of the public).
