i have tried various makes of windsceen cleaner to get the build of contaminents etc off the sceen i alway use a screen wash and clean the wipers reg with an alchol swab
but none seem to do a good job, any tips on this subject or a product i may not have used

one word of advice. dont use too much. it leaves the outside of your car smelling...
have used it neat on a bit of kitchen roll to clean wiper blades and glass.

ive used rainx on two cars.. i didnt like the results either time.... i found it created droplets of water on the screen instead of the regular wetness i was used to.
for me, the droplets gather more light so create little lights all over the front window. this i found was distracting especials when driving unlit roads. on coming cars lit the screen up......

This might sound daft but if it's not clearing contaminents with your products is it maybe just a case of needing new wiper blades. Even if they are only maybe a year old. I had similar problem and always assumed it was wax in the stuff i was washing the car with that was sticking to the glass. I eventually gave in and got new blades and they worked wonders.
