Clean Windscreen

can anyone please tell me how to get a smear free inside windscreen,i made stupid mistake of buying a windscreen demister cloth,and its made a real mess of it,streaks all over it,and no matter what I've tried,it's still the same...thanx in advance.

I use vinegar (applied with lots of kitchen towel). It makes your car smell like a chippy for a short while afterwards but it's guaranteed to produce a really clean, streak-free finish. (If your windscreen is totally clean it's impossible for it to mist up. Water droplets can't adhere to glass; they can only adhere to the dirt on the surface of the glass).

just a regular squeegee rubber blade would minimise the streaks at least.

Diluted White vinegar wiped on with a rinsed out cloth and then rubbed over with scrunched up newspaper.

a company called bonnymans do crystal clear .its is the best i have found . or auto smart do it they also do somthing called glass glo it is a cream but it is great .just put it on like windowlene and wipe it off with a dry cloth ....say good bye to smears for ever.

I too have fallen foul of supposed commercial "demister" solutions which make things much worse. So thanks for the tips in this thread.

Best glass cleaner available for my money is simple methylated spirit. Find in B&Q etc. Cheap and effective inside and out. I also put 50/50 in my washer bottle during the frosty times and then my bottle does not freeze up. Simples.
