I recently purchased a 2003 mondeo 2.0 tdci ghia 130 ps which has a annoying vibrating noise on tick over. It also makes a grinding noise when turned off
The vehicle has been to ford a number of times but still cannot locate a fault. I have been told it could be a dual mass fly wheel problem. please help.

i think that could be a belt tensioner, common problem on the diesel mondeo. nothing to major, new timing belt and tensoiner.
this engine is chain driven.this engine has also had a host of problems which have cost ford millions to rectify, flywheels breaking up, modified clutches, water pump pulleys shearing off. the list goes on and on so it could be anything.
