Hi. I have a 95 car fitted with a sonar415 alarm, which also operates central locking.Yesterday the car seemed to miss (as if an electrical problem) and I had to re-code the radio. When I went to lock it last night..nothing!!I changed the battery in the bleeper but still nothing.A auto guy checked the fuses and said they were okay.Could it have lost the coding in the master unit due to the blip? Thanks for thoughts.....addboat
Did the sparky check the battery? Having to reprogram the stereo suggests a disconnection to the battery, also if it was missing then it would also suggest an electrical problem rather than an alarm issue.
If the alarm was fitted recently or the unit is still under warranty then get it back to where it was fitted and get them to look.
Thankyou sarniken..The alarm is a discontinued model.
Battery was not removed, but one suggestion was that the 'brain of the alarm had activated the immobliser'and thats what caused the stall in the car.My thought is .That the power supply to the alarm had been interupted and this caused the brain to drop the coding.??As this unit has been of the market for a considerable time no one seems to know if it can be recoded. Thanks again...addboat
