driver window wont open.

I have a ford escort 1995. the driver window doesn't open. Their are 2 switches by the gear stick to control the windows passenger side is lit up and works, drivers side not lit up. Is this the fuses? If so how do I replace ?

If the switch isnt lit up (usually it's on a different lighting circuit) and the window doesnt work- it may well be the switch itself. You should be able to pry it up out of its housing and check the wires underneath - they may just have become loose. Otherwise get another switch from the scrap yard and change it over.
