Hi I have a P Reg Renault Megane and there is a strange noise coming from what sounds like the exhaust. 50% of the people I have asked think its the heat sheald and the other 50% think its the exhaust. I have no idea what it is can anyone advise me? It sounds like a rattling but only happens when I get to 2,500 revs. Thanks
prev Vauxhall Vectra remove the instrument panel ?

It could be either or the catalytic converter collapsing inside or just a loose bracket.

Only way to find out is get a check at Quikfit or any other exhaust centre, you could always get under yourself whilst someone you trust revs the engine?

I have been to Quikfit in Salisbury and they said they dont deal with these kinds of noises - whatever that means! thanks for the advice though! Really appreciate it!x
