Stiff Clutch pedal

I have a X Reg Seat Ibiza 1.2 which has a very stiff clutch pedal compared to other cars I have driven, the car has only 25,000 miles on the clock so I dont think it needs a clutch, I have been told by the garage that sold me it that all Seat Ibiza's have stiff clutch pedals. Any suggestions welcome.
