Hi All

I have noticed recently my car is really juddering at times, when pulling away, I have put the car in 4th and tried the clutch test and it stalled.

It has covered 80k, but it really judders like it will stall, so I just lower the cluthc and accelerate a bit harder and it fixes it, not sure if its even just car being cold? as its normally after car running for about 10 mins.

Any idea's anyone, and how expensive repair? If it was the clutch aswell, if the clutch goes does it cause any major damage if it just goes all of a sudden, I appreciate you woul dnot be able to drive it but does it damage the car?

Thanks all

it sounds very much like the clutch is going,it wont cause any damage to the car,but get it done asap,as it could go anytime.

Thanks, that is what i thought, if it was to just go, would it cause any damage, naturaly dont want that to happen
Duel mass flywheel has collapsed, common fault. Local cost of repair (Yorkshire) 500 if clutch is Ok.
the spring pressure plate on the clutch has gone, have a new one fitted, you may as well get a clutch while you are there so all parts are new

Thanks all for help
I do have warranty but it says it does not cover Clutch plate due to wear and tear, but covers fly wheel? is that what above is, sorry for my stupidiy, :)

Also driving to work this AM, the display alarm went off and said "STOP, Check Brakes" I instantly stopped, turned engine off, checked brake fluid, it looked OK as its diffiult to see due to location in car, restarted car and the alarm has not gone off since, even though I have started car couple of times and driven it approx 20 miles without alarm coming back on.

Any ideas, also on what brake fluid to use? thanks again for your help
