my 1998 ford escort has dodgy indicators i was driving when the indicater light came on on the dash but not flashing just constantly on got out looked at my indicators and they were all just stuck on and not even flashing they went off after around 30 mins but now they wont work at all theres nothing when i move the indicator arm i checked the fuse its ok any ideas?

It sounds as if you need a new flasher unit, it is probably the same size as a relay ( 30mm cube with pins) it will either be in the fuse box or it could be in behind the steering shroud, they should only cost a couple of quid.

i agree with the other poster, sounds like the flasher relay.

replaced the relay and still no good
